nm6.jpgWe have set on plans for a new Mikvah with dual use: it will be used daily by men, and by women on Friday night and Yom Tov. We are planning on having both a traditional filter as well as a “May Galim” filter that will be on at all times except when the Mikvah is in use by women.

We have been advised to build the Mikvah to be aesthetically pleasing as a women’s Mikvah. The Mikvah will be in a purpose-built brick structure at the back of the Chabad House, replacing the shed which currently houses the men’s Mikvah. There will be separate shower/toilet rooms, and a dedicated preparation room for the women’s use.

The current expected costs of building the Mikvah including bringing correct plumbing and electric services to the site of the Mikvah are estimated to cost in the region of £130,000 - £150,000.
